The national airline Air Algerie benefited from an amount of 2 billion Dollars for the renewal of half of its fleet.
Indeed, according to the words of the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Abdelghani Zaalane, Air Algeria has 59 aircraft, and 30 will be renewed, half of the fleet of the company.
To this end, the Minister informed at a meeting, devoted to the continuation of the review of the provisions of the PLF 2019, with the Finance and Budget Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC), that a $ 2 billion has been allocated to Air Algérie.
The Minister said that by 2023 and 2024, 25 Air Algerie aircraft will be 25 years old.
As a reminder, a few weeks ago, the CEO of Air Algérie Bekhouche Alleche, said that “the government has approved the acquisition of 30 new aircraft Boeing and Airbus as part of the strategy of the company to expand its float until 2025 and strengthen it with new international.
